- About the set
- Issued in 1962 by Cumulus in Stockholm. Numbered 1–150, starting again from 1 rather than continuing from Star Bilder B. 152 cards in all, because No 84 and No 105 each come in two versions.
- Very common.
- Sold in paper card holders of ten ("Mapp Nr 12 · 10 st. · STAR BILDER · Ser. C") and in frames holding ten different pictures each.
- Shop displays advertised "150 nya bilder", with TV and film themes: the Flintstones ("Familjen FLINTA"), Cartwright, "PRÄRIE", "IVANHOE" and "NILS HOLGERSON". One display names the set "STJÄRNSERIE C · Film o. TV-61", with frames marked "STJÄRNSERIE - C 1".

- Bild-Journalen issued a collector album, "STAR BILDER SAMLARALBUM", for the whole set. Its cover shows No 73 Sandra Dee - Bobby Darin. Children who filled the album, had it checked by a parent or a tobacconist and sent in the coupon took part in prize draws on 15 February, 15 March and 15 April 1962. Each draw gave a bicycle as first prize, and 10 footballs or 10 dolls as the 2nd to 11th prizes.
- Variants and printings
- A few cards have a second picture printed on the back. It is faded, not laminated and has no text: no set name, number or caption. Example: No 41 Louis Jordan, with Jayne Mansfield on the back. Why these exist is unclear. They may be proof prints, which also differ in colour tone, or the printer may have used the backs of discarded sheets.
- How to recognise
- The card reads "STAR C BILDER", with the number and the name.
- 56 cards add the line "Bild-Journalen". It is shorter than the "Träffas i BILD-Journalen" line on the B, D and E cards.
- Seven cards carry "Philips" instead (No 15, 26, 56, 74, 94, 104, 135), and five carry "Fontana" (No 50, 107, 114, 124, 144). The rest have no extra line.
- The numbers run 1–150, like Star Bilder A. The letter C tells them apart.
- Numbers to know
- No 84 Jörgen Ingmann exists with normal digits and with a slightly larger "84".
- No 105 Eric Fleming exists in two versions. One has a slightly blurred "105". On the other, the number 72 is blacked out and "105" is printed to its right.
- Every number is common, the two versions of No 84 and No 105 included.
- Some cards are named only by a TV role: "Joe" (No 40, 54), "Adam" (No 86, 148), "Hoss" (No 110), "Ben - Hoss" (No 128), "Joe - Adam" (No 138). No 9 is "Bröderna Cartwright".
