Numbered Set 3 (1-300)

About the set

• Issued in 1962. Numbered 1–300, but only 225 cards exist: No 1–200 plus 25 extra cards higher up.
• A common set. The pictures cover film, TV, music and sport, with several Swedish singers and entertainers among the international names.
• A wrapper linked to the set reads "STJÄRNSERIE - C1", "Film o. TV-61" and "10 olika bilder i vackra färger" (ten different pictures in fine colours).

How to recognise

• Many cards add a short tag in quotes after the name, such as a Bonanza role (No 12 Dan Blocker "Hoss"), a record company (No 86 The Swe-Danes "WB"), a TV show or a film company.
• The extra cards No 256–300 have no "A" marking. That tells them apart from the same pictures in 1959 A Set (Serif).

Numbers to know

• Never issued: No 201–255, 261–265, 271–275, 281–285 and 291–295.
• No 101–200 are a little harder to find than No 1–100 and the extra cards, though the set as a whole stays common.
• No 57 and No 128 misspell Richard Widmark: both cards read "Doris Day — Rickard Widmark".
• No 1, a Bonanza group picture, reads "Cartwrigt".

Related sets

• 1959 A Set (Serif): the extra cards No 256–290 repeat 20 of its pictures, which are uncommon in that set. Collectors often fill those gaps with the easy 1962 cards. No 296–300 have no match there.
• 1963 Numbered Set 4 (301-451): most likely the continuation, picking up at No 301, and harder to find.
