About the set

• Issued in 1962. Numbered CA 1–300, 301 cards in all, because CA 227 has two pictures.
• A long set, probably printed in several runs.
• A mix of film, television, western and music stars. Next to the Hollywood names are many Swedish singers and entertainers, such as Siw Malmkvist, Lill-Babs, Povel Ramel and Evert Taube.
• Sold in packs. A known wrapper reads "STJÄRNSERIE - CA 1", "Film o. TV" and "10 olika bilder i vackra färger".

How to recognise

• The number is "CA" followed by the figure, for example "CA 57".
• Many cards add a short credit in quotation marks after the name, naming a film company, record label or show: "Fox", "Metronome", "RCA", "BFB", "Knäpp Upp", "Prärie", "Perry Mason" and others. CA 103 reads "Peter Sellers — Sophia Loren "Fox"". Ty Hardin's cards read "Bronco".

Numbers to know

• CA 227 is a double number. The ordinary card is Viveca Lindfors. The second picture, Clint Eastwood (marked "Prärie"), is very uncommon and is the hardest card in the set.
• The set gets harder towards the end: CA 1–100 are very common, CA 101–200 fairly common, and CA 201–300 harder to find, possibly because interest fell off towards the end of the run.

Double number

• #227 Viveca Lindfors / Clint Eastwood
