C Set
Hard to complete, and hardest in the run C 12–C 21, where all three C 16 pictures fall: Betty Hutton twice and Roy Rogers. C 6 Doris Day also has two pictures; the close-up is as hard as that run.

Good to know
- C 18 and C 19, and probably more cards, also exist with slightly spikier italic lettering.
- The set letter comes before the number: "C 12", "C 22".
- C 6 Doris Day is a double number with two quite different pictures: one in a yellow blouse, and a close-up. The close-up is the harder of the two and is the same picture as one of the D 1 cards.
More about this set
About the set
- Issued in 1952, numbered 1–35. With the extra picture on C 6 and the two extra on C 16, the set has 38 cards.
- Same kind of pictures as the 1952 B Set.
- In Holland the cards were collected in small "hollywood strips" albums. A matching Dutch album is said to exist for this set and the D set.
Variants and printings
- Some cards exist both with and without the studio name.
- Cards No 1–35 were also issued in Holland on thick card with small capital letters.
How to recognise
- The star's name is in italic lettering.
- Most cards name the studio: "M.G.M.", "Par.", "W.B.", "U.I." or "Rep. Pict.". No 12 Jean Simmons has "Eagle Lion".
- Dutch copies on thick card with small capital letters are shorter than the regular cards.
Numbers to know
- C 16 has three pictures: Betty Hutton in a brown blouse, Betty Hutton in a checked hat and jacket, and Roy Rogers. The Roy Rogers picture is the same as 16 B.
- The hardest part of the set is C 12–C 21: C 12 Jean Simmons, C 13 Ginger Rogers, C 14 Vanessa Brown, C 15 Hedy Lamarr, all three C 16 pictures, C 18 Olivia de Havilland, C 19 Joan Caulfield and C 21 Jane Russell. The C 6 close-up is just as hard.
- The most common cards include C 2, 8, 11, 22–25, 27, 31 and 33–35, and the yellow-blouse C 6.
