More about this set
About the set
- Issued in 1962. 160 cards, numbered 1–160.
- Mostly music artists, plus TV and film actors.
- The last ten cards, No 151–160, are the Flintstones, with their Swedish names: Fred Flinta, Barney Granit, Wilma and Betty, and "Familjerna Granit och Flinta" on No 160.
- Sold in packs of ten. One wrapper reads "STJÄRNSERIE - EX 14 · Film o. TV · 10 olika bilder i vackra färger", with a Fred Flintstone card in the window. Another reads "SERIE EX 2".
How to recognise
- Many cards add a second name in quotation marks:
- a record company, for example "Metronome" (8 cards), "RCA" (7), "Decca", "Telefunken", "Cadence" or "Atlantic Records";
- a TV role or show, for example "Bronco" (all 7 Ty Hardin cards), "Joe", "Adam", "Ben", "Prärie", "Wagon Train" or "Perry Mason";
- the revue "Knäpp Upp" (9 cards, among them No 60 with Povel, Gunver, Martin and Brita);
- other marks such as "BFB" (5 cards) and "WB" (2 cards).
- The wording "STJÄRNSERIE … Film o. TV … 10 olika bilder i vackra färger" also appears on the frames of 1962 Star Bilder C. The letters "EX" on the wrapper mark this set.
Numbers to know
