About the set

• Issued in 1979. 234 cards on numbers 1–234: four numbers were never issued and four have two pictures each.
• Mostly pop singers and groups. Swedish sports stars appear too, such as Björn Borg, Ingemar Stenmark, Ronny Hellström and the national football team (49).
• Film and TV pictures include "Stjärnornas krig" (Star Wars), Grease and the Macahan family.
• Sold in wrappers printed "7 BYTESBILDER" and "VÄRLDSBERÖMDA POPSTJÄRNOR", in red, green and blue.

How to recognise

• A period follows the number, as in "3. Kiss" or "14. Gasolin".
• The cards carry the line "© Universaltryck Grafiska AB".

• Never issued: No 16, 43, 47 and 76.

  • 24 Smokie: one upright picture, one sideways.

• Most of the set is moderately hard to find. No 1–122 are on the whole harder than 123–234, where most of the easier cards sit. No single card stands far above the rest.
