- About the set
- Issued in 1975–76. 234 cards, numbered 547–780.
- Mostly pop singers and groups, with a wide spread of other subjects: cars and motorcycles, an aircraft (756 Concorde), animals, film and TV, sport, and the Swedish royal couple.
- Sold in wrappers printed "8 BYTESBILDER", "POP" and "VÄRLDSBERÖMDA FAVORITER", in green, orange and purple.
- How to recognise
- A period follows the number, as in "586. Mud" or "599. Roxy Music".
- Several other pop sets use the same numbers. The 1974 sets (547–656 and 701–739) have no period after the number. 1980 Popbilder Period After Number V also uses a period and shares 547–578, so for those numbers check the name: No 547 here is Abba, there it is Bay City Rollers.
- Four cards are marked "RCA": 558 Sweet, 563 and 601 David Bowie, and 619 Elvis Presley.
- Numbers to know
- No card in this set is really hard to find.
- The commonest stretch is 547–624. Most cards from 625 to 700, and from 758 to the end, are a step harder.
- The Beatles appear as a two-part pair, "Beatles del 1" and "del 2" (573, 574).
