Small Beatles Series
Fairly uncommon, and the group card is no easier to find than the portraits. The lettering and stock look like those of 1964 Numbered Set 2 (1-156), but these cards carry no number, and how they were sold is not known.

Good to know
- Each portrait gives the member's name followed by "The Beatles" in quotation marks, for example Ringo Starr "The Beatles". The fifth card shows the whole group.
- George's card is printed "Georg Harrison", and Paul's "Paul Mc Cartney".
More about this set
About the set
- Issued in 1965. Five cards: one portrait each of John, Paul, George and Ringo, and one picture of the four together.
- Laminated, with no numbers.
- No wrapper has ever turned up holding one of these cards, so how they were sold is not known.
- An uncut printing sheet is known. It measures 44 x 61 cm and has 78 places, 6 by 13. Each of the four portraits fills 13 places and the group picture 26.
How to recognise
- The lettering and the card stock look like those of 1964 Numbered Set 2 (1-156), but these five cards have no number.
Numbers to know
- All five cards are fairly uncommon.
- The group card is no easier to find than the portraits, even though it took twice as many places on the sheet.
Related sets
- 1964 Numbered Set 2 (1-156): same typeface, same paper quality, and from about the same time. Some collectors keep the five Beatles cards at the end of that set, and they may have been packed with it. Their missing numbers speak against that.
